When Club Penguin gets 1 year older, they throw a huge party at the Coffee Shop for their anniversary on October 24th. Every year, they give away a party hat. Each year the color of the party hat changes. Now why is this hat so special? What makes it so amazing? I’ll tell you.
- The party is the one item out of the thousands of items on Club Penguin that is GUARANTEED 100% to be limited edition. As in nothing exactly the same will ever return to Club Penguin. That means if you miss the event, you’ll never get it again. Other items, even rare free items often times eventually cycle back again and Club Penguin gives them out in new parties, but never the party hat.
- It’s FREE. Members AND Nonmembers can both get party hats. That’s what makes it so awesome!
- They are sometimes the most stylish cool items in the game. The Beta Hat is definitely THE rarest item and coolest in the game. It was the first free item given away when Club Penguin began and it will never ever return. Other than it’s rarity, it’s combination of color and style make it completely awesome to wear. Even if it wasn’t rare, I would wear that because it looks so cool (the bright pink makes it look almost red, the white just clashes so well). Other party hats are also cool but the colors have never clashed as well since. But we’re still hoping each year
- It is a ONE DAY event. Sometimes. Except at the last few. If you get it, you were pro to log in that one day. Because it will never return since. And you will be exclusive and rarer as the days go on.
If you have read my History Of Club Penguin, you will know I missed the Beta Hat Party because of inconveniences. I missed the 1st Anniversary Party simply because I didn’t bother to go on and get it and I wasn’t notified about it even though I played at the time. I do have all the other party hats though.

Beta Hat:
The Beta Hat is the rarest Club Penguin Anniversary hat of all. You could only access this item if you tested Club Penguin while it was in beta phase. The Club Penguin Beta Hat is pink and yellow. It was given away as a free item in the Town on October 2005.
1st Anniversary Hat:
The 1st Anniversary Hat is green and dark blue. If you wear the 1st Anniversary Hat, people will consider you as a rare penguin. You could access the 1st Anniversary Hat in the Coffee Shop on October 2006.
2nd Anniversary Hat:
The 2nd Anniversary is yellow and orange. If you wear the 2nd Anniversary hat, people will consider you as medium rare. You could access the 2nd Anniversary Hat in the Book Room on October 2007.
3rd Anniversary Hat:
The 3rd Anniversary Hat was blue, yellow, and orange. If you wear the 3nd Anniversary Hat, it shows you were around on Club Penguin in 2008. You could access the 3rd Anniversary Hat at the Coffee Shop on October 2008.
4th Anniversary Hat:
The 4th Anniversary Hat was purple and blue. If you wear the 4th Anniversary hat, it shows you were around on Club Penguin in 2009. You could access the 4th Anniversary Hat in the Coffee Shop on October 2009.
So, this will be your 4th hat for your collection if you attend it :question
i have every hat since the 2nd annavrirsy hat
in 2009, i quit cp but i still knew it was the anaversiry, so i logged in to get the hat
but i didnt get the pin :unhappy

I met someone with the BETA HAT!!!THAT IS SOOO RARE!!!HE WAS SO CROWDED!Anyway,why didn’t you post the 5th Anniversary Party Hat?If you don’t know what it looks like,it had five layers.The top layer was tiny.I will list the colors up to down:Green,red,yellow,orange and green.Try posting that.
